Optimizing Air Flows To Aeration Basins
4/17/2014
As a result of clean energy mandates and the rising cost of energy, wastewater treatment facilities around the country are retrofitting their instrumentation to run highly efficient, cost-effective, clean facilities. To reduce emissions and produce clean energy, solid wastes are often digested in large digester tanks to reduce the volume of waste (sludge) and produce more biogas, which is then used as fuel in the cogeneration process. However, a clean environment calls for not just clean air and clean energy, but clean water as well.

Retrievable Jet Aeration Skids
6/18/2008
Where aeration is required and the process tank cannot be emptied in order to install a traditional jet aeration system, Mass Transfer Systems offers skid mounted wet installed retrievable jet aeration systems. The systems can utilize a submersible pump mounted on the retrievable skid or a dry pit pump mounted outside of the tank

WET WELL WIZARD Wastewater Collection System Aeration
7/26/2024
Every modern town or city has a wastewater collection system of some type. The wastewater collection system is the conduit for used water, both sanitary and graywater (relatively clean, including stormwater), which initiates at the individual homes and businesses in the community. A primary part of the wastewater collection system is a number of “wet wells” that are used as wastewater collection points, or intercepts, from community neighborhoods. Often, lift stations, complete with large electric waste pumps, are used to keep the water moving to the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

1600 Series For Fats, Oils, Greases, Phosphorus, Chlorines and Other Chemicals
6/26/2014
Designed with the dairy market in mind, the Dampier membrane is optimized to withstand long-term exposure to fats, oils, greases, phosphorus, chlorines and other readily present chemicals. Its silicone elastomers possess inherently low intermolecular forces, providing excellent resistance to hot and cold temperatures. Our Dampier membranes are hydrophobic, and do not react with the unique chemicals present in dairy wastewater. Heat stable (up to 365°F) and flexible at low temperatures, these custom formulated membranes provide durable, chemically-correct solutions for dairy wastewater treatment.

OX™ Disc Aerators
1/5/2017
The bigger and completely redesigned OX™ disc aerator doubles the amount of oxygen transferred by the original Orbal® system disc aerator. This means that the same amount of oxygen can now be delivered with fewer discs, which reduces maintenance, construction and capital costs. It also allows facilities with existing Orbal systems to increase capacity if they replace their existing discs with new OX disc aerators.
