DenseSludge Technology Dewaters Mine Pools In West Virginia
3/21/2016
Mepco contracted Veolia Water Technologies to design and procure a 4,000 gpm AMD treatment plant at a mine shaft site. This new plant uses the DenseSludge technology, which maximizes water recovery and minimizes sludge volumes. Improved process control (especially pH control), reduced gypsum deposits on system components, and drier sludge of a lesser volume are the results of this innovative application.

AnoxKaldnes MBBR Proves Effective At Asphalt Refinery
1/7/2016
A refinery needed to upgrade the wastewater treatment system to prepare for expected changes brought about by the use of a new crude feedstock with elevated concentrations of TDS and conductivity. Veolia Water Technologies supplied an AnoxKaldnes Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) treatment system to reduce the BOD and ammonia in the effluent.
