Chlorine vs. Chloramine: A Tale Of Two Chemistries
By Swan Analytical USA
Here are some insights that can help water treatment plant (WTP) operators deal with their internal concerns about DBPs and residual chlorine or ammonia levels, as well as their external concerns about customer perceptions of water quality.

A New Approach To Installing Blower Systems
By Kaeser Compressors, Inc.
Upgrading the aeration system in a wastewater operation is typically a burdensome process. An affordable, purpose-built blower system delivered in its own secure, weatherproof enclosure can be commissioned sooner and at lower cost than one that requires renovations or new construction.

How Honolulu Board Of Water Supply Uses Satellite-Based Leak Detection
By ASTERRA
Satellite-based radar technology allows water utilities to identify non-surfacing leaks that traditional methods often miss. By pinpointing underground moisture signatures, municipalities can significantly reduce non-revenue water and meet conservation goals through more efficient, data-driven field inspections.

Why Industrial Water Treatment Is Never "Set And Forget"
By Orege
Industrial wastewater treatment is never a static task. Fluctuating pH levels, production shifts, and variable organic loads mean that no two effluents behave identically, demanding continuous monitoring and active process discipline to maintain discharge compliance.

Why Reliability Matters In Wastewater Treatment
By Atlas Copco
Reliability in aeration is vital for maintaining compliance and reducing emergency costs. By choosing the right blower technology and support system, plants ensure consistent treatment quality, lower energy use, and long-term operational stability.

The Role Of pH Measurement During Coagulation
By Myron L Company
In the wastewater treatment industry, coagulation has become one of the most widespread processes for effectively separating contaminants and effluent. But coagulation is a complicated and sensitive process, one that alters the chemical balance of the wastewater in order to strip it of unwanted constituents.

By Daniel Kwasi Kpeglo, University of South Africa
Water stored in dams and reservoirs for humans to use often evaporates, especially in hot regions like southern Africa. Rising temperatures speed evaporation up, leaving less water for people, farming and industry. Daniel Kwasi Kpeglo explains his laboratory research into a new design – a thin nanomaterial floating cover that could be placed over lakes and dams like a blanket, reducing evaporation by limiting the amount of infrared heat from the sun that reaches the water.
