Public Buses In Maryland Will Soon Be Powered By Wastewater Byproducts

Montgomery County, Maryland, is close to completing a wastewater treatment project that will help accomplish a range of public service goals all at once.
“The county has partnered with WSSC Water to build a facility that will turn the area’s wastewater into renewable natural gas,” WJLA reported. “County Executive Marc Elrich said the new source of energy will help increase the efficiency and reliability of the county’s ride-on-bus system.”
