New Study May Shed Light On Safety Of Biosolids As Crop Fertilizer

Removing PFAS from drinking water has increasingly been a focus for municipal water utilities, but the contaminant’s impact on wastewater is a relatively new area of concern. Most notably, there have been questions about the safety of using biosolids — a byproduct of wastewater treatment that may contain PFAS — as a crop fertilizer.
