  1. SUEZ To Operate And Maintain Wastewater Treatment Plant For Litehouse Inc., A Salad Dressing Manufacturer

    SUEZ, through its Water Technologies & Solutions Business Unit, recently announced that it recently received a multiyear operations and maintenance contract to manage a new wastewater treatment plant at Litehouse Inc. in Lowell, Michigan. SUEZ will provide an on-site operator, wastewater treatment chemicals, 24/7 technical support and also will employ its InSight asset performance management (APM) system to use data and analytics to ensure that the plant operates at the highest levels of reliability, efficiency and output. In addition, SUEZ is coordinating the sludge handling for the wastewater treatment plant, which will be commissioned in early October.

  2. SUEZ Technology Helps New Orleans Project To Control Flooding At Three Drainage Canals

    After being devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, New Orleans is committed to protecting the city from future flooding. As such, as part of the Permanent Canal Closures and Pumps (PCCP) project, SUEZ, through its Water Technologies & Solutions Business Unit, recently completed the installation of 17 custom Climber Screen systems. With this innovative screen technology, the city will be able to control flooding and help prevent pollution while directing water back into Lake Pontchartrain.

    Faced with the challenge of meeting recent stringent total phosphorus effluent limits, the city of Barrie, Ontario, needed to upgrade its wastewater treatment facility. Recently, SUEZ, through its Water Technologies & Solutions Business Unit, announced that it has been selected through an open competition as the membrane bioreactor (MBR) system supplier for this project, which will become one of the largest MBR plants in Canada.
