The New Atlas Copco ZE 3 Low Pressure Oil-Free Rotary Screw Compressor: No More Compromise, Even In The Harshest Industrial Environments

Atlas Copco has expanded its range of low pressure oil-free rotary screw compressors. The new ZE 3 compressors are specifically manufactured to operate in a broad spectrum of pneumatic conveying industrial applications while ensuring a continuous 100% oil-free air supply at the lowest possible life cycle cost. The ZE 3 is targeted at the cement, gypsum, food & beverage, power, pharma and glass industries for applications such as conveying, bulk handling, material handling and processing systems. It is also suitable for truck unloading, for example of cement or flour.

In the past, OEM’s often had limited choice to find compressor manufacturers which could deliver them a reliable compressed air source. Atlas Copco introduces the ZE 3 range as the right answer to fulfil all these demands.

The ZE3 low pressure compressors incorporate Atlas Copco’s latest and well-proven oil-free screw element, a robust gearbox and an IP55 motor that is totally enclosed and thus protected from dust ingress. Thanks to the optimal process and cooling airflow design, the machines are also protected against influences of extreme ambient temperatures. The new silencer design eliminates pulsation while the insulated canopy reduces noise levels and provides excellent protection of the machine in harsh working environments.

Flexibility is also a feature of the ZE 3 compressors. Their compact plug-and-play design makes them suitable for any kind of indoor or outdoor application. Moreover, customers have the flexibility to change the scope of supply. For instance, Atlas Copco can deliver the compressor without motor or starter as requested. Atlas Copco can also provide machines capable of operating at ambient temperatures between -20°C (suction 30°C) up to 50°C.

The ZE 3 compressors are built to ensure complete product safety. Every compressor is ISO 8573-1 Class 0 TÜV certified, ensuring 100% oil-free air supply for critical applications and minimizing any risk of oil contamination to production processes.
