A familiar theme arises when you talk to people in the wastewater industry, and it's essentially ‘out with the old, in with the new' (or rehabbed). Aging infrastructure is often deteriorated and/or inadequate to handle rising demand. Compounding the problem, old technology may no longer be sufficient to satisfy new and stringent government regulations. Add to these concerns the reality of budget constraints, and it's no wonder wastewater professionals are coming to a common conclusion: something needs to change.
