The Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) has announced the appointment of Shirley Ben-Dak as the organisation’s Senior Advisor, effective immediately. She will maintain this position alongside her role as the CEO and Co-Founder of Bird-Eye Consulting and additional strategic advisory positions. Shirley most recently served as the VP of Strategy & Innovation. In the seven years that she has been collaborating with the SWAN Forum, the organisation grew from a few dozen members to being the leading global hub for the smart water sector.

Commenting on this exciting leadership announcement, Amir Cahn, SWAN’s Executive Director, remarked: “Since 2016, Shirley has been instrumental in developing our strategy, increasing SWAN awareness and exposure, growing our memberships, and refining our positioning within the global smart water sector. She has helped demystify smart water aspects and frameworks, led our internal rebranding, establish strategic partnerships, as well as mentor many of our current and former staff members. We are elated to continue working closely to leverage her experience, network and creativity to further solidify SWAN’s reputation and value creation.”

Reacting to this announcement, Shirley said, “I am incredibly humbled by this appointment and thank my SWAN family for entrusting me with this advisory role. Working with such a talented team to expand our ecosystem and collaborating with innovative members and partners to clearly articulate the benefits of smart water, are areas I’m very passionate about. When we challenge ourselves, evolve as an organisation, and refine our value offerings to produce industry relevant outputs, we position ourselves for continued success. I’m looking forward to continued meaningful engagements with the SWAN flock and extended umbrella of supporters.”

Shirley will continue to support the SWAN Americas Alliance and global efforts in further shaping the smart water agenda. Shirley can be reached at shirley@swan-forum.com.
