Smart H2O Summit Announces Partnership With The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission

Smart H2O Summit is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Designed to educate and inform key water stewards about the pressing need to address issues of water waste, water loss and dwindling water supplies, the summit will be held in San Francisco from August 17-19.

The new partnership will focus on:

  • An insightful presentation entitled Changing the Water Management Paradigm with Onsite Water Systems, which will provide valuable case histories and a blueprint for creating Onsite Water Systems
  • An information resource booth to showcase sustainable solutions for conserving water for commercial water users and other public utilities
  • A tasting station on the show floor where attendees can experience the excellent quality of municipal water
  • SFPUC recognition of organizations employing water-efficient technologies.

“We are delighted to be working with the SFPUC to make commercial, industrial and municipal water users more aware of solutions to the water crisis,” said Smart H2O Summit Director Jane McDermott. “The SFPUC is a recognized leader among water stewards nationwide for their innovative approach to sustainability initiatives, non-potable re-use, desalination and many other issues inclusive of environmental and community interests.”

Targeted to municipalities and other key water stewards, Smart H2O Summit was created to help communities and select business sectors solve their critical water infrastructure challenges through innovative new global technologies and solutions. The event will offer a comprehensive conference program featuring the world’s leading water authorities, as well as an exhibition floor where attendees can experience technology solutions first-hand.

“Supporting efficient water use and conserving our precious water supplies are top priorities for us, particularly as California’s epic drought continues. We are proud to support forums like H2O Summit that help educate our customers about effective water-saving technologies and practices that have worked well in our service area,” said Julie Ortiz, Water Conservation Manager with San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
