New Product Lines Meet Global Standards and Position Company for Expanded Market Share
In a move to better position itself as a global competitor, Shelco Filters has secured ASME Code certification for its USF Series and USB Series of filter housings. The certification follows globally accepted engineering standards, which ensures integrity, quality and durability in production and performance. Shelco’s new USF Multicartridge Housings and USB Bag Housings, which are entirely manufactured in the United States, will be identified as ASME Code products beginning this month.
Shelco began the rigorous certification process more than a year ago, in response to increasing demands for ACME Code housings from resellers and industrial customers, primarily in the petroleum and chemical sectors. With this designation, Shelco is now able to provide its high-quality housings – along with its hard-working filters – to a wider customer base throughout the world.
“We have built a strong reputation for producing affordable, high-performing filters and heavy-duty housings with our standard product lines, and now we’ve taken that expertise to a higher level with the ACME Code stamp,” said Robert LeConche, president of Shelco Filters. “This certification is strongly respected and required by many companies, so it opens up countless opportunities for Shelco.”
The company is already in talks with leaders in the petroleum industry in Canada, Alaska and Texas, among other places. It also is reaching out to major players in the chemical industry who already rely on Shelco for its filters.
