MWH Constructors Selected As The CM/GC For $107M Wastewater Treatment Facility Project By City Of Logan (Utah)

New facility enables City to treat a greater amount of wastewater, meeting needs of growing area

MWH Constructors has been selected by the City of Logan, Utah to serve as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the new $107M Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility project. The new facility will produce higher quality effluent flows to the nearby Cutler Reservoir and, altogether, will allow the City of Logan to treat a greater amount of wastewater, to a higher quality, with a smaller footprint.

The City of Logan’s new Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility is replacing an existing lagoon system that currently provides wastewater treatment for the City and a number of surrounding communities due to updates in effluent limits, the need to more efficiently clean and filter water, and estimated population growth in the area. Once complete, the new facility will increase the City’s treatment capacity up to 18 mgd.

As part of the CM/GC contract, MWH Constructors will provide preconstruction and construction-phase services on the project. Construction on the project is expected to begin during the summer of 2018 with substantial completion expected by October 2021.
