Multicore Blowers Offer Advanced Aeration Solution

A new type of high-speed blower recently introduced to the market will provide an alternative for wastewater treatment plants to maintain dissolved oxygen (DO) levels.

Known as multicore turbo blowers, the machines are based on air foil bearing technology and include two blower cores inside an enclosure. Because of the size limitations of air foil bearing blowers — the most powerful on the market are currently 400 hp — the new multicore machines will allow larger municipal wastewater plants to replace their outdated blowers with air foil bearing technology.
