Water Online Radio: The buzz about Amarex N has preceded you, but I understand you are the expert. Tell us a little bit about that.

Sergio: The Amarex N is a line of small pumps from 1.1 to 5 HP and is an upgrade of our existing KRT line. We are now bringing these pumps to the United States; they have been sold for 10 years in Europe, in Asia.

We have more than 180,000 pumps in the market. These pumps can be used for wastewater transport, wastewater treatment, and sludge treatment. We have eight models to grind the pumps and six models of vortex pumps with three passages that go up to 4 inches. They are good for municipal wastewater applications.

Water Online Radio: Talk a little bit about what makes the Amarex N different.

Sergio: Well, it has some special features. For instance, the body of the pump and the motor body is cast as one piece and you just have a section cover that covers the pump. That helps with the maintenance, and also makes the pump robust and reliable.

All of our pumps have motors that are explosion proof, classified by FM for Class 1 Division 1 Group C and D. All pumps have bimetallics to protect against overheating, and a moisture sensor to avoid short-circuiting in the motor if water ingresses the water chamber.
