‘Desalination' Launches The New Identity Of The ‘Institute For Innovation In Water Technologies And Advanced Research'

The Saline Water Conversion Corporation launched the new identity of its research arm, the “Institute for Innovation in Water Technologies and Advanced Research” with its new name, to keep pace with its strategic aspirations to advance the desalination industry, lead its future directions to improve water solutions and technologies, start a qualitative era of innovation and create solutions, and strengthen the research and innovation system in the Kingdom. And keeping pace with the goals of “Vision 2030.” His Excellency the Governor, Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, inaugurated yesterday in the city of Riyadh the new name of the institute and its updated identity, in the presence of the institution’s leaders and a number of external partners.

The Deputy Governor for Research and Innovative Projects, Eng. Tariq Al-Ghafari, stated that the new identity is a first step in presenting the basic pillars of the Institute's strategy, and confirms its commitment to strengthening research and innovation capabilities in the Kingdom, and moving towards achieving the goals emanating from the Kingdom's Vision 2030 for development and innovation in water solutions and technologies, reviewing the implications. The institute's new identity, explaining that the new logo brought together elements that reflect the core values ​​of efficiency, clean and renewable energy, circular economy, and optimal uses; An expression of his capabilities and accumulated experience, and his leadership in the field of research, development, innovation and the search for solutions to the major challenges facing the world in the field of environmental and water sustainability.

Eng. Al-Ghafari added that this leadership in the research and scientific fields culminated in partnerships with major global, regional and local bodies, and that the institute seeks to expand the horizons of research movement, enhance cooperation and joint work in the field of the desalination industry and support innovation in water technologies and solutions. The inauguration ceremony witnessed a set of visual presentations about the “Institute of Water Technologies Innovation and Advanced Research” and its ability to transform research efforts into a supportive tributary for the national economy, stemming from the foundations and objectives of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation to contribute to the fields of research, development and innovation in the Kingdom.
