The company has introduced an automatic shut off system for chlorine cylinder and ton container valves. The actuator mounts to existing valves and hardware without special tools and does not interfere with manual valve operation. Battery powered, the unit will close the cylinder valve in response to a gas detector or remote signal to minimize the impact of chlorine releases as required by EPA Risk Management Planning.
