6. ETS-UV™ For Wastewater Treatment 2/4/2014

   Many municipalities had adopted ultraviolet (UV) disinfection treatment over chemical based disinfection.  UV disinfection is efficient, low cost and an environmentally friendly way to disinfect water.  The process is safer for operators and the community; UV is a chemical free process that adds nothing to the water but light.  Read more about how the UV disinfection works.  Unlike chlorine, UV disinfection is able to inactivate pathogens such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.  Discharged wastewater with these pathogens becomes dangerous drinking and recreational water for downstream communities.

   As the final step before treated wastewater leaves the plant, effective disinfection is extremely important to protect human health, and the maintenance of the environment. This process eliminates pathogenic organisms that cannot be removed by previous treatment steps and reduces the spread of pathogens in the natural ecosystem.

9. WEDECO LBX e Series UV System 10/18/2013

   WEDECO LBX e UV system is a compact closed vessel UV reactor for drinking water, wastewater, water reuse, and WEDEO’s MiPRO Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) applications. Equipped with WEDECO’s low-pressure, high output amalgam ECORAY® UV lamps and OptiDose sensor based control, the LBXe provides the highest operating efficiency with low life-cycle costs. Additionally, the LBXe reactor’s extensive validation envelope ensures disinfection performance over a range of UV transmittance (UVT) values, flowrates, and a variety of target organisms.

10. UniSystem® Package Wastewater Treatment Plant 10/21/2021

    The standard UniSystem package plant is a rectangular tank consisting of an aeration chamber, hopper bottom clarifier, sludge holding tank, and chlorine disinfection chamber. Aeration Industries can supply painted carbon steel tankage or all of the internals and ancillary equipment for installation in concrete tanks. Treatment modules can be easily added to the design of the UniSystem depending on influent characteristics and effluent requirements. Treatment module options include a comminutor, flow equalization, denitrification equipment, filters, a membrane bioreactor, UV disinfection, post aeration, and phosphorus removal equipment.
