Proven, Dependable, Scalable
Orenco’s AdvanTex® AX-Max™ Treatment Systems are a dependable, proven technology for treating domestic-strength, primary-treated effluent to better-than-secondary standards, including nitrogen-reduction. They consist of sturdy, watertight fiberglass tanks that incorporate recirculation-blend and discharge tankage in a single module. Each unit also includes pumping systems, ventilation, and a lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space.
AX-Max Treatment Systems are intended for large residential applications or for commercial and municipal applications that require advanced secondary treatment. They eliminate the need for separate recirculation and discharge tanks by performing both functions within a single module. AX-Max units are ideal for subdivisions, “fringe” development, hotels, resorts, schools, churches, businesses, manufactured home parks, RV parks, campgrounds, rest areas, and truck stops.
Depending on model, a single AdvanTex AX-Max unit can treat flows of 5000-15,000 gpd (18.9-56.8 m3/day). AdvanTex Treatment Systems are modular, however, and can be installed in multi-unit arrays to handle higher flows.
The Schreiber Washer/Compactor washes out organics and dewaters screenings in a batch sequence. Screenings enter the top of the unit and are agitated by a rotating shaftless screw in a trough being supplied with wash-water. As the screw rotates in a forward and reverse motion providing agitation, entrained organic material is released from the screenings. The organics now in suspension are drained back to the process stream for treatment by the process equipment. The washed screenings are transferred over a barrier at one end of the wash trough into the compactor section below. The screenings are subsequently dewatered by the action of a compactor screw, gravity and conical discharge, and then conveyed through a larger diameter discharge pipe to a screenings container. The washed and compacted screenings material is significantly reduced in both volume and organics, resulting in disposal cost savings, and will pass the Paint Filter Test.
Schreiber’s MC Fine Screen is a traveling band, deep channel screen with depths up to 50 feet and widths up to 14 feet including slot spacing to 1mm. The screen requires very little maintenance and is easy to work on without dewatering due to the block design and no underwater moving parts.

The Reliant Water Technologies SCOUT Hydro Profiling System is the answer to obtaining clear and concise shallow water survey data quickly and inexpensively. By not only providing a visual hydrographic ‘picture’ of everything underwater, in any shallow body of water, the SCOUT also provides the volume of sludge in the water body (as well as the volume of free water). The ‘picture’ provided is color enhanced in order to provide clear, definitive delineation of variable depths of sludge, or debris, and includes multi-point water depth over-lays.
To produce grit with less than 5 % organic content, we have developed our COANDA Grit Washer RoSF 4. This sophisticated grit washer, combines in a single unit, the conventional functions of grit classifying, conveying and dewatering with a highly effective grit washing process.
Self-Cleaning Wedgewire Screen
The RSS Externally Fed Drum Screen is a reliable self-cleaning screen for both municipal wastewater operations as well as many industrial applications. This screening technology performs particularly well in wastewater with high oil or grease loadings as well as scum applications that can blind other types of screens.
Huber Technology, through its subsidiary Huber-Hydropress, is the inventor of the STEPSCREEN® concept. This design was unveiled in the early 1980’s to much acclaim and was readily adopted into the designs of well over 3,000 facilities worldwide since the STEPSCREEN® introduction.
Alkagen® Solution is a fast-acting pH shift technology that effectively controls odors and corrosion in wastewater systems. This unique, proven product is environmentally safe and uses a combination of alkaline and nitrate technologies to remove and prevent hydrogen sulfide. Alkagen solution also reduces the impact of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in the system while providing a beneficial alkaline supplement for the treatment plant.
Headworks has designed and manufactured DAFs (Dissolved Air Flotation) for many years for the cruise ship industry where the primary goal is always to operate on a small footprint. As cruise ships can’t simply call a plumber when there is a problem, reliability of the equipment is paramount as well. It was, therefore, only a natural progression for us to expand the line into land based applications. In combination with our MBBR/IFAS solutions Headworks’ DAFs provide a super compact complete core treatment system.
