WWEMA Honors 2017 Morriss Award Winner

Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) Chairman Mark Turpin named Michael Dimitriou, President of WRT LLC, Arvada, Colorado, as the recipient of the 2017 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award at WWEMA’s 109th Annual Meeting, November 8-10, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award is presented each year to a WWEMA member for significant contributions to the mission of the Association, and to the benefit of the water and wastewater industry. In presenting the awfard, Turpin cited Dimitriou’s outstanding service to WWEMA throughout the year, including his contributions as a WWEMA Board Member, Chair of the WWEMA Investment Committee, and a member of the Legislative & Regulatory and the WWEMA Marketing & Member Services Committees. Dimitriou was also elected to the WWEMA Executive Committee as Vice-Chair for 2018.

Dimitriou is a longtime member of WWEMA and has served on its Board of Directors since 2013. He also represents WWEMA to many outside organizations, having served on the National Drinking Water Advisory Council and WateReuse Foundation, and as a WWEMA representative to U.S. EPA on three separate FACA Committees.
