Westin appoints Douglas J. Harp as new CEO

The Board of Directors of the Sacramento, CA-based technology, engineering, and consulting firm Westin has promoted Douglas J. Harp, P.E. to the position of chief executive officer. In this new role, Harp will retain his existing title and responsibilities as president in addition to the additional duties as chief executive officer.
Doug Harp has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and has completed graduate management studies at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF), and is on the AWWA National Information System Committee.
After joining Westin in 1993, Harp was promoted to industry director in1997, vice president in 1998, and president in 1999. He has been principal-in-charge for some of Westin's largest projects, which have included control and telecommunications systems, information technology integration, and organizational improvement.
