Transcend shortlisted For Water Technology Company Of The Year At The Global Water Awards 2026
Recognition from the international water sector’s most prestigious awards program places Transcend among the industry’s most consequential technology companies – as the winner is set to be announced at the Global Water Summit in Madrid on 19 May 2026.
Princeton, NJ — Transcend, the global leader in generative engineering software for critical infrastructure, has been shortlisted for Water Technology Company of the Year at the 2026 Global Water Awards – widely regarded as the highest honor in the international water industry for water technology companies.
The Global Water Awards are run by Global Water Intelligence (GWI), the leading market intelligence and events organization serving the water sector for over 25 years, with a readership of more than 40,000 water professionals worldwide. Shortlisted candidates are evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts with no commercial affiliation to any nominated company or the award hosts. The shortlist is published in GWI’s flagship magazine and website and distributed across its global network – and the track record of past shortlistees speaks for itself: many have gone on to close some of the sector’s most significant commercial deals in the years that followed their recognition.
The Water Technology Company of the Year category specifically recognizes companies whose technology is demonstrably advancing how the water sector operates – measured by innovation, and more importantly, by real-world deployment and impact. The winner will be announced live at the Global Water Awards ceremony on 19 May 2026 at the Quinta de Jarama estate in Madrid, during the Global Water Summit – the annual gathering of the industry’s most influential leaders and decision-makers.
Transcend’s nomination reflects the growing impact of the Transcend Design Generator (TDG) – the only platform purpose-built to automate the preliminary engineering of water, wastewater, power, and other types of critical infrastructure. Where engineering teams once spent thousands of hours manually generating feasibility studies, running simulations, and iterating proposals, TDG produces a complete set of standards-based, auditable, preliminary-engineering data required to make better decisions in the early phases of a project.
“80% of the economics of a project are determined by decisions made in the earliest stages of a project. For far too long it has been the industry’s most fragmented, time-intensive, and under-resourced stage. Utilities facing mounting regulatory pressure, tightening funding cycles, and accelerating infrastructure deficit can no longer afford to make decisions based on incomplete and inaccurate information that takes months to compile even for a single option. TDG provides instant engineering-grade insight to make better decisions. Teams can move forward with confidence, ensuring the right assets get built with improved economics and resilience.”
— Ari Raivetz, Founder & CEO, Transcend
The platform’s reach reflects the scale of the problem it is solving. To date, TDG has been used to design more than 20,000 critical infrastructure assets across 65 countries, with designs positively impacting the lives of more than 577 million people worldwide. Transcend’s customer base includes some of the most significant utilities and engineering organizations on the planet – among them SABESP, the largest sanitation company in Latin America and one of the largest in the world by population served, which provides water services to over 28 million people across São Paulo state. Transcend’s partnership with SABESP supports the utility’s program to universalize access to water and sanitation services across 377 municipalities by 2029 – one of the most ambitious infrastructure mandates in the sector.
Beyond utilities, Transcend’s platform is embedded across the global engineering and technology supply chain. The company’s customers and partners include some of the most trusted names in global infrastructure – among them DuPont, Xylem, and HaskoningDHV, as well as a strategic technology partnership with Autodesk. This breadth of adoption is itself a signal: TDG is becoming the design layer that the infrastructure industry relies upon.
“This shortlisting is a reflection of the engineers and utilities who’ve trusted us to change how they work – and of an industry that is increasingly ready to move beyond the constraints of manual, fragmented design. The problems in front of the water sector are enormous. Generative design and accompanying structured data is one of the most important tools it has.”
— Jessi Tseng, VP of Customer Success & Customer Engineering, Transcend
Transcend was built by engineers who spent decades inside the infrastructure industry – and who understood, firsthand, where the structural bottlenecks lived. TDG is the result of over a decade of development grounded in first-principles engineering, and it is the only platform proven to produce audit-grade, outcome-based preliminary engineering data across water, wastewater, and power in the complex regulatory and operational environments utilities and AEC firms actually operate in.
