Teledyne Isco Announces The Merger of Teledyne MGD

Isco builds further on philosophy to obtain environmental data of the highest possible quality for every application and budget

Lincoln, NE — Teledyne Isco, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of environmental monitoring equipment and laboratory products, announced that its subsidiary, Teledyne MGD, Inc., has been merged into Teledyne Isco, Inc. The merger was effective May 5, 2006.

Teledyne Isco develops and manufactures automatic water samplers, and flow meters using continuous wave Doppler velocity measurement technology for water environment industries such as wastewater utilities, stormwater agencies, and industrial waste dischargers. The products developed and commercialized by MGD comprise a complimentary line of flow meters employing pulse Doppler velocity measurement technology for those same "dirty" water flow monitoring applications. This equipment provides critical data for the management of the world's infrastructure that collects, conveys, treats and discharges non-drinking water resources.

According to David Kennedy, Ph.D., Teledyne Isco General Manager, the merger provides clients with a one-stop shop for open channel flow monitoring solutions. "The union of Isco and MGD gives water and wastewater professionals a single source of products and services for obtaining the highest quality flow measurement data for a wide range of applications and hydraulic conditions. In conjunction with the merger, Teledyne Isco announced the integration of MGD's former direct sales staff with Isco's internal sales group and its worldwide network of independent manufacturer's representatives and dealers. This team will be led by Michael Kilday, Teledyne Isco's Environmental Products Global Sales Manager.
