SUEZ, through its Water Technologies & Solutions business unit, recently introduced the expansion of its ZeeWeed 500 family of membranes to address the needs of smaller membrane bioreactor (MBR) plants. With the addition of two ZeeWeed 500 products, SUEZ is making this trusted, reinforced hollow-fiber ultrafiltration (UF) membrane available for all municipal, commercial and industrial applications at any flow range—from micro-sized to mega-sized wastewater treatment plants.
For over 15 years the ZeeWeed 500D product has been trusted for high-performance, world-class energy efficiency and proven long membrane life. Now those same benefits are available to provide operational simplicity and rugged reliability to small MBR applications with two new products.
“ZeeWeed 500 membranes have provided our customers with exceptional membrane life, outstanding performance and low operational costs with LEAPmbr. Now, with the expansion of the ZeeWeed 500 family, those key characteristics are available for our customers at any flow range from 5 GPD to 500 MGD. This makes the ZeeWeed 500 product family the right economic and technical choice for our MBR customers dealing with any municipal, commercial or industrial application,” said Kevin Cassidy, global leader, engineered systems, SUEZ—Water Technologies & Solutions.
For more than two decades, the ZeeWeed 500 membranes have been proven in wastewater and water reuse projects. Over 2,000 plants worldwide use this technology to meet or exceed stringent wastewater treatment and water reuse standards.
Today's announcement was made at WEFTEC 2018, taking place October 1-3 in New Orleans.
