STOAT ASM -Simulation Model Of Wastewater Treatment Processes
STOAT ASM® can be used to design new activated sludge treatment plants, upgrade existing facilities, optimize the performance of assets and as a tool for training plant operators. It contains all the functionality necessary to design plants for biological nutrient removal (BNR), and contains both conventional activated sludge processes and sequencing batch reactors.
The full version of STOAT® has successfully been used on plants throughout the world, ranging from less than 1 MGD to over 100 MGD. Typical applications include investigating different options to meet tightening effluent standards, e.g. due to TMDL allocations.
STOAT ASM® contains WRc's full range of models of the activated sludge process. In addition to the COD-based models developed by the IAWQ, STOAT® is the only software to include fundamental BOD-based models, which enable users to directly use data which is routinely collected at treatment plants, negating the need for additional costly data collection exercises.
STOAT ASM® also contains a wide range of features to allow users to fully explore alternative design & operational, such as detailed sensitivity analysis. The model design wizard allows users to rapidly build up plant models, part of the reason STOAT® has the easiest interface to use. And now, with STOAT ASM® being available at just $4,000*, it's also the cheapest and most cost effective tool for dynamic simulation of wastewater treatment plants.
