Solvay Chemicals, Inc. Contracts With Carus Corporation To Market Drillox Technology And Solvay's IXPER® Calcium Peroxide

Drillox's patent pending process is a groundbreaking "green" technology that will transform the approach to soil and groundwater remediation

Solvay Chemicals, Inc. has signed a contract with Carus Corporation to market a new soil and groundwater remediation technology, known as Drillox Technology, which utilizes Solvay's IXPER® 75C Calcium Peroxide. A highly effective treatment for soil and groundwater, Drillox Technology is proven to be very powerful at the in-situ degradation of contaminants.

The basis of the patent pending Drillox Technology is the slow release of hydrogen peroxide from IXPER Calcium Peroxide. In the presence of a suitable catalyst, this property can be used to perform Modified Fenton's chemistry. Drillox Technology can be implemented either by the traditional direct push method, or through injection wells already used for remediation. Since this technology has minimal energy requirements and uses eco-friendly products, this makes Drillox Technology a "green" approach for the remediation of soil and groundwater.

Carus Corporation, a leader in the manufacturing of environmental products for air, water and soil for over 90 years, services the environmental industry through its Carus Remediation Technologies group (CRT).
