SolarBee And GridBee Brands To Be Marketed Under Name Of Parent Company Medora Corporation
Well-known manufacturer of solar-powered water treatment systems takes name of parent company to better market solar- and electric-powered products.
Medora Corporation, a leader in scientific and engineered methods for improving water quality, will now market its solar- and electric-powered circulation equipment under two brands, SolarBee and GridBee. Medora Corporation will continue to be based in Dickinson, N.D.
“From 2001 to 2009, our product line was exclusively solar-powered,” said Joel Bleth, president, Medora Corporation. “Today our business has grown to include energy-efficient electric products as well as other water quality solutions, such as THM Removal systems. To encompass this expanded product offering, we are now marketing our products under two brands: SolarBee for solar-powered products and GridBee for electric products.” This expanded product range meets market demands for both sustainable technologies and lower-capital-cost water quality solutions.
World leader in long-distance circulation technology
Medora Corporation pioneered long-distance circulation technology (LDC), which is a significant breakthrough in solving the world's difficult water quality problems. The award-winning and patented technology can prevent and control blue-green algae in lakes and reservoirs; provide energy savings, process improvement and odor control in wastewater; and completely mix potable water storage tanks, eliminating stratification and nitrification. LDC can be applied to just about any reservoir, including lakes, potable water storage tanks, wastewater ponds and basins, industrial ponds, stormwater ponds, reuse ponds and estuaries.
In June 2012, the company received an EPA Small Business Innovation Research grant to further research, development and commercialization of THM removal technology.
“The Medora Corporation name will be displayed more prominently on our web page, ads and literature,” said Bleth. “You will continue to see the SolarBee logo in ads and literature for solar-powered equipment, and you will also see the GridBee logo in ads and literature for electric equipment.”
