AMETEK Drexelbrooksonic technology, the CCS2000 measures the sludge blanket level and monitors clarity loss in the water above the blanket level in water and wastewater treatment clarifiers and thickeners. Incorporating a "rag" layer measurement helps keep track of effluent quality and allows the unit to track both the compacted sludge level and the lighter rag material above the interface using 4-20mA output loops and relays. Operators can independently control the sludge withdrawal by tracking the compacted layer of sludge and alarm/control off the lighter rag layer.
