Datasheet: FiXed Xpress Network

Source: MARS Company

This system provides small, self contained Information Networks designed for the Metering industry. The FX2 Network can carry Cold Water, Hot Water, Gas and Electric meter consumption and return this data to a central location in any location that has Internet access.

The MARS VHP (Very High Power) SmartTransmitter Radios, connected to the meters, transmits data directly back to the MiniGate; this data is also collected by the MARS RF Bridges. During off-peak times, the data collected by the RF Bridge(s) is transmitted and collected by the MiniGate. The information has multiple paths and multiple transmission events providing data back to the MiniGate. After sorting, the data is transferred back to the Office Billing System, utilizing the Internet for either direct transfer or, more popularly, using email.

The number of RF Bridges is not restricted and the most difficult RF environment can be rendered ‘open' and available by adding any number of RF Bridges.

The benefit to the operator is being able to control the data on a managed Network while having both true multiple paths and channels data transfer without node bottlenecks and excessive data build-up while working with all utilities in all environments, including pits.
