SRS Crisafulli, Inc.opelled Dredge Now Available <%=company%>, the U.S.-based company that makes this small dredge, has installed its first all-stainless-steel-wetted-parts Rotomite. The dredging application into which the stainless unit (pictured) was placed prohibited use of mild carbon steels, demanding stainless for handling corrosive acids (pH <2.5 ) present in the lagoon environment. This dredge was also fitted with a liner protection system. The stainless steel Rotomite is internationally available for corrosive and acidic dredging applications.

Capable of handling heavy sludges and slurries, the dredge has been chosen for solving a variety of waste transfer and removal problems. Silt, sediment, sewage, mine tailings, slimes, fly ash, coal fines, and thick sludges are capably handled by the unit's high-torque cutterhead and high-capacity pump.

This is a self-propelled dredge, and a single operator, using convenient, responsive controls, can maneuver it. In irregularly shaped ponds where cabling is inconvenient, the machine can be steered. In many applications, there is no need for cabling or traverse systems, or the time consuming task of moving and anchoring cables between each dredge cut. Full instrumentation provides immediate information on critical dredge functions.
