Self-Cleaning Separators (OSD)

Self-cleaning separators are used to separate a high solids content from liquids. They are employed mainly for the clarification and purification of coolant emulsions, washing lyes, lube oil, diesel oil, oily sludges, waste oil and MARPOL oil.

The continuously operating self-cleaning separators are suitable for the clarification and purification of water-based and oil-based liquids with a high solids content. Solids ejection takes place automatically in the form of partial or total ejections.

On smaller machine types (OSD 2) the first separated liquid is conveyed to the discharge under pressure by means of a centripetal pump. The second separated liquid is discharged under gravity.

On larger machine types (OSD 6, 18, 35, 60), both purified liquids are discharged under pressure by a centripetal pump.
