RS Lining Systems Receives NSF-61 Certification For Its Drinking Water Main Cured-In-Place-Pipe Renewal System

Epoxy-based, RS BlueLine® can repair water mains and transmission lines up to 42 inches in diameter.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) - RS BlueLine® the world’s premier cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) system for pressure pipe rehabilitation has received certification to NSF/ANSI 61: Drinking Water System Components-Health Effects, by NSF International. Joanne Carroll, Senior Vice President of RS Lining Systems, the exclusive distributor of RS Technik CIPP technology in the Americas, made the announcement.
“This is a significant achievement,” added Mrs. Carroll. “Drinking water standards in the Americas are the strictest in the world, and we are extremely excited that we can finally offer this system to markets where the repair and renewal of aging water infrastructure is needed.” This latest certification follows RS BlueLine’s 2010 certification with German DVGW regulation W270 and the KTW for potable water that, like NSF, are the most rigorous standards in Europe.
With this NSF acceptance, RS BlueLine, using exclusive Dow® formulated epoxies, is now approved for the renewal of all municipal pressure pipe systems including drinking water mains, transmission lines and force mains. According to Mrs. Carroll, RS BlueLine is best suited to rehabilitate water lines ranging from 6 to 48 inches in diameter. The system meets AWWA Class IV providing a fully structural solution.
RS BlueLine is installed by Inland Pipe Rehabilitation (IPR), the nation’s leading trenchless underground contractor. IPR in conjunction with RS Technik and it’s global business alliance with Dow Formulated Systems, a business of The Dow Chemical Company, are working together to develop and deliver sustainable pipe rehabilitation technologies that minimize social, economic and environmental impact.
