Rochem BioFilt-Black And Grey Water Reuse For The Marine Industry

The BioFilt system combines a biological reactor with an ultrafiltration FM module for high bio-degredation. As the ultrafiltration membrane acts as a barrier, the disinfected effluent meets every discharge standard – similar to or better than land-based plants.

BioFilt is manufactured as a modular multi-tank system, with PLC process control to ensure automatic, reliable, and fail safe operation with minimum maintenance and high availability.

The efficiency of the BioFilt plant allows for the purification of black water on ships to achieve a treated water quality superior to the international limit values for contaminants imposed by MARPOL/IMO. Therefore the environmentally sound purified wastewater may be discharged overboard in any harbor or coastal area.
