Radium Selective Complexer Provides Compliant Water Supply

In Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the drinking water provided from 15 municipal wells has naturally occuring radium levels exceeding 5 picocuries per liter, and for the City to comply with the US EPA's Radionuclides Rule the water requires treatment.

The City contracted with Strand Associates, Inc.® of Madison, Wisconsin, to design radium removal facilities capable of complying with the Radionuclides Rule while providing up to 15.4 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) of potable water for the City's population of 42,000.
