Toray's polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollowfiber membranes are manufactured via a thermally-induced spinning method (TIPS) that produces a highly resilient tensile strength. Toray's proprietary manufacturing process carefully controls the distribution and size of the pores along the membrane surface and a low-fouling tendency of the membrane.
