Portable Flow Meter For Troubleshooting

A portable ultrasonic flow meter is a great tool for troubleshooting flow issues or as part of your arsenal of tools for conducting preventative maintenance. In this video, Cheryl Ades Anspach explains how Badger Meter’s DXN flow meter uses both transit time and Doppler technology to understand flow.

The clamp-on transducers allow the DXN to be set up quickly in an emergency for short periods of time or left in place for extended periods to report back on regular flows. Anspach explains that you can also configure the device to store previously established parameters so that you’re not scrambling to set it up when you need to get a quick read on flow.
