PFAS Removal: A Sustainable Solution
Source: Calgon Carbon Corporation

Carbon reactivation is a high-temperature thermal process that produces a recycled, reactivated product for reuse in various applications including municipal drinking water, wastewater treatment, and water remediation. In Calgon Carbon's reactivation process, the spent activated carbon (carbon that has been used in service to remove chemical constituents from water) is put through a reactivation furnace or kiln at elevated temperatures. This process effectively removes the chemical constituents from the activated carbon, allowing it to be reused in a circular economy.
