Oxidation And AOP: The Last Lines Of Defense Against Harmful Algal Blooms

Secondary metabolites of algae, including algal toxins and taste and odor compounds resulting from a harmful algal bloom (HAB), can find their way into source water and create the risk that they will ultimately reach the WTP and cause water-quality problems. The key to mitigating their effects is treating them through oxidation, or a combination of oxidization processes.
