NGWA Conference Focuses On Ground Water Issues Affecting Eastern United States

Westerville, OH – The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) is conducting a conference entitled "2008 NGWA Conference on Eastern Regional Ground Water Issues" June 23-24 in Ronkonkoma, New York.

Since 1984, ground water professionals have gathered in New England biennially to discuss issues specific to this region. For the first time, NGWA will hold this conference in the New York City area. The conference offers a unique opportunity to learn about these current issues:

  • Long Island MTBE litigation in favor of big oil,
  • Arsenic distribution in Maryland
  • U.S. EPA's regulation of injected CO2 for carbon sequestration
  • New Jersey's private well testing act.
