Megola Inc. Extends Its Reach In The Far East

Asian Distributor Updates Sales Progress Outside of China

Corunna, Ontario — Megola Inc. announces that it has initiated a major sales promotion of its ScaleGuard technology throughout Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The company, which is a leading environmental solution provider in physical water treatment, microbiological control, wastewater treatment and air purification, is promoting the technology through its Asian distributor, Dalian Bingshan H2O3 Environmental Solution Co. Ltd. (H2O3).

"With the establishment of the assembly facility for ScaleGuard in China and the resounding success it has had in the Chinese market, we felt it was an excellent time to introduce Megola's products to other areas of Eastern Asia that suffer hard water problems," stated Mr. Sufan Siauw, VP of International Sales and Chief Technology Officer of H2O3. Mr Siauw continues, "The partnership between H2O3 and Megola Inc. has generated a very strong presence in the region and we expect to capitalize on the reputation we've created in the industrial and agricultural sectors. Our promotion has already seen dairy, ice-making, and refrigeration companies investing in the ScaleGuard technology."

Highlights:

  • Country Fresh Dairy became the first ScaleGuard customer in Thailand. They are a leading dairy producer and have installed seven units to treat a considerable scale problem on ultra-high temperature (UHT), milk heat exchangers and evaporative condensers.

  • Hydro Property, a water treatment distributor in Thailand, is completing their field-testing of two units they purchased through H2O3's regional distributor, Good Earth Agricultural Co. Ltd., and has installed them into the online systems in a major ice factory. Having proven the system efficacy of ScaleGuard (descaling and preventing future scaling), they will be incorporating the ScaleGuard technology into cooling tower installation projects in the future. Hydro Property's clients include approximately 600 ice factories in Thailand.

  • Good Earth Agricultural. Co. Ltd. has held sessions with a company that is a major producer of cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and refrigeration equipment. This company is purchasing units for testing. Upon successful field testing this company will be incorporating ScaleGuard into the development a new evaporative system that will not form scale, thereby reducing the costs of manufacturing the equipment. Currently, due to scale problems, equipment is oversized by 20 percent and made of stainless steel so that equipment can withstand being acid-washed. Reducing the size of equipment and eliminating expensive stainless steel in unnecessary components achieves a dramatic cost savings. They also intend to apply the ScaleGuard technology in their after sales service program to a user base in excess of 1,000 companies in Thailand currently using their systems. They are very big in the ice-making industry, and they produce ice-making machines.

  • Trials are being initiated on the steam boilers for both Caltex and Pertamina (Indonesian oil companies). Upon successful trials, there will be a potential for the installation of more than 500 larger ScaleGuard units within this industry.

  • In Malaysia, Good Earth Agricultural. Co. Ltd. will be meeting with companies in the poultry integration business and water treatment business to further promote ScaleGuard.
