Liquid Sampler

N/Arunoff and wastewater effluent can be monitor by the Environmental Liquid Sampler (ELS). This portable, lightweight system is designed to collect the "first flush" sample of liquid that arrives at the appointed sampling location, then seal itself off to preserve the sample integrity. It is a mechanically automated instrument that can be used in remote locations without the use of a power source.

General areas of use include N/Arunoff from industrial sites, feedlots and hog confinements, sampling discharge from sewage treatment facilities, agriculture/fertilizer runoff monitoring for pesticides, nitrates and herbicides, oil and chemical plants, and drainage ditches. Airports can use this product to monitor the usage of solvents used in de-icing, and it can be used in aiding landfills in compliance with NPDES permits. The unit is constructed of stainless steel and aircraft grade hard coat aluminum, and mounts to a "T" post, or in-ground mounts. The system also allows for collection and visual analysis of the parameters outlined in the MSGP.
