Large Diameter Pipe Restraining System

Up until recently, Holdfast restrained joints for Hyprescon pipe were limited to 1350mm dia. Our customers then had to resort to welded joints which are very expensive and do not offer the flexibility of clamped joints. We therefore concentrated our efforts in developing a type of joint that would closely match the well-known "Holdfast" system. The principle of the "stop-harness" had to remain the same. However, its geometry and the material used in its making had to offer high resistance to support the forces created in large diameter piping systems. After several years of research and laboratory tests, we introduced the "Lokfast" joint to our line of products. The Lokfast joint consists of over dimensioned steel bell and spigot joints, and a steel harness. The harness is supplied in two sections (semi-circles) for easy installation. Depending on the internal pressure of your system, several models of Lokfast can be chosen.

"Lokfast" joints have been put to the test several times in the past few years. Pipelines of up to 2000mm in diameter have been installed with "Lokfast" joints. The results and comments received from its users are clearly very positive. Most importantly for contractors, the "Lokfast" joint reduces installation time.

We are extremely proud of this new product and we believe that it will become the industry standard for restraining large diameter pipelines.
