LA20 Level Transmitter

The new, compact, 2-wire LA20 level transmitter, part of the Ricochet series, from Flowline combines microprocessor-based electronics with non-contact, ultrasonic technology for reliable and continuous level measurements at depths ranging from 0.5 to 12 feet (12.7 cm to 3.7 m). Accuracy is +0.25%. Installed through the top wall of a tank, the compact design and 2" transducer make the transmitter a low-cost solution for small tank applications involving dirty, coating and corrosive type liquids. The tight 6" deadband allows for maximum tank filling capacity. Factory calibrated with a fixed measurement span of 12 ft., level measurements are provided by a 4-20 mA signal output which is directly proportional to depth.

Echo-safe filtration eliminates false echo signal returns, while fail-safe intelligence provides for maximum process safety. Powered with 12-36 VDC, the LA20 is fully compatible with Flowline's relay control, indication and telemetry products. Automatic temperature compensation is provided over the entire measurement range. LEDs display power status and fail-safe diagnosis. The rugged polypropylene (PP) enclosure is rated NEMA 4X (IP65) with a PVDF transducer. Operating temperature range is -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C). CE mark approval is pending.
