New design of reliable flowmeter for use in food, pharmaceutical, water and wastewater industries

KROHNE, Inc., a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective level and flow measurement products for the process industries, introduces its new H250F sanitary variable area flowmeter suitable for the process flow measurement of liquids, gases and saturated vapor in the food, pharmaceutical, water and wastewater industries.

The new sanitary design of the 3A-approved H250F can be used for the flow measurement of milk, cream, carbon dioxide, insulin, ultrapure water, and air in clean rooms.

The all-metal flowmeter contains no blind spots and meets all FDA requirements. All 316 parts of H250F are stainless steel wetted parts. The sanitary design also includes tri-clamp end connections, limit switches and a flow totalizer. Bacteria growth is greatly minimized as the H250F is suitable for CIP and SIP cleaning methods and has a surface roughness of 0.6 (24 micro inches).

The electronics of the H250 F can have a 4 – 20 ma output signal and HART® or PROFIBUS-PA communications. In addition, any plug-in option can be replaced in the field without having to recalibrate the instrument.
