Kinetico Provides Water Treatment System To Assist In Hurricane Relief Efforts

Kinetico Water Treatment System Will Clean 50,000 Gallons of Water Per Day For New Orleans-Area Hurricane Victims

Newbury, OH -- In an effort to provide much needed clean water to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Kinetico Incorporated of Geauga County has provided a municipal surface water treatment system to be put in place near St. Bernard Parish, La. The system was installed on Sunday, September 11th, and is currently providing clean water for hundreds of people every day.

The treatment system, which uses Kinetico's exclusive Macrolite® filtration technology to produce clean water, was set up on a dock of the Mississippi River in St. Bernard Parish where it is treating more than 50,000 gallons of water per day. The system is treating water right out of the Mississippi River to drinking water specifications. The water is currently being used for the decontamination of search and rescue personnel.
