IUVA Announces 2016 IUVA World Congress Technical Program

With accelerating global concerns about the need for water and air purification solutions, the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) announces the IUVA 2016 IUVA World Congress & Exhibition, January 31 to February 3, 2016 in Vancouver, Canada. With nearly100 presentations and 20 exhibitors, this unique event will present the latest on transformative ultraviolet (UV) processes for water, municipal, health, industrial and other fields that are poised to increasingly benefit from this fast emerging technology.

“IUVA is the leading global technical organization dedicated to developing ultraviolet light solutions to environmental and health concerns in water and air,” says Dr. Karl G. Linden, University of Colorado and President of IUVA. “We are very excited to have received a record number of abstracts for the event, as our World Congress brings together academia, the public sector and industrial leading experts from around the world to share their research and experience.” Topics that will be covered in the conference include: the emergence of disinfection technologies including UV-C LEDs; regulatory trends; applications to municipal drinking water, reuse water and wastewater; Ballast water treatment; Reduction in TOC, chlorine, chloramine, and ozone; and Industrial water supply and discharge. The event also includes poster presentations, a plenary session, and local technical tours of UV treatment facilities. We will also be giving out a slate of IUVA Awards.
