In the water industry the focus is often on treatment plants. But so much of what makes clean, safe water possible happens in a laboratory setting. In this video, Laura St. Pierre of YSI, a Xylem brand, talks about the company’s new line of laboratory products that are multi-parameter, digital based instruments for measuring biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), pH, connectivity, ORP, temperature, as well as routine pH measurement instruments.  She explains the benefits of the “plug and play” feature the new line of instruments offer, and the low maintenance they require.

Fifteen probes were also added to the new laboratory product lines, including ion selective electrodes (ISEs), that measure anything from ammonia, ammonium, bromide, chloride, fluoride, and a range of ions.
