In-Pipe Technology Company
Milieu-Nomics, Incorporated provides two primary products for wastewater treatment and recycling. One product serves the industrial market and one serves the municipal market. For industry, REDUX™ is a patented (Patent Nos. 4,902,429 and 5,055,184) dissolved air flotation system for low flow applications, incorporating the unique 'no moving parts clarifier'. The integral skid mounted systems are available in a variety of standard sizes, and are ideal for flows up to 300 gpm. Milieu-Nomics builds the REDUX™ systems and distributes the systems through a network of local representatives throughout the Americas. Additional representatives are wanted.
Milieu-Nomics recently completed the redesign of the Redux™ system. This redesign has incorporated a new patented pump (Patent No. 5,591,001) from Cornell Pump Company greatly improving the system operation and performance. The redesign eliminates the system air dissolving tank, porous media, and the requirement for compressed air.
The second offering from Milieu-Nomics is In-Pipe Technology. In-Pipe Technology (IPT) is a major breakthrough in municipal and large industrial wastewater treatment. This innovation recently received U.S. Patent No. 5,578,211 (Nov. 26, 1996). IPT converts the entire sewer collection system into an efficient high speed treatment step. Total suspended solids (TSS) are reduced by > 60% and carbonaceous biological oxygen demand (CBOD) is simultaneously reduced by > 30%. This is done anaerobically, utilizing the natural retention time in the sewer and through the addition of an extremely concentrated mixture of select, symbiotic, facultative microbes which degrade the waste en-route to the treatment plant. This results in numerous benefits, including odor control, the reduction of biosolids by 50% or more at the treatment plant, increased plant efficiency and capacity with reduced operating costs. No capital expenditure is required. IPT provides the benefits of privatization without the fears!
