GCUA: How To Unlock Higher Equipment Performance With The Right Expertise And Technology
Source: Orege
After its incinerator shutdown in 2017, Gloucester County Utilities Authority was forced to landfill undigested sludge at rising cost. Orege installed its SLG® conditioning technology alongside the plant's existing belt filter presses, without replacing any equipment. Cake total solids rose from 13-14% to 18%, and polymer use fell by 2 to 3 gallons per minute, cutting annual polymer costs by 15-20%. The results led GCUA to add a second unit.
