EchoShore®-TX platform: Monitor More, Worry Less

Source: Mueller

A proven technology platform designed to monitor water transmission mains.

Broken water mains. Flooding. Property damage. Why let a preventable problem cost large sums of money, disrupt life in your community and damage your reputation.

While it often starts with a leak, historically many utilities have waited until there is an evident problem or rupture to react. Today’s utilities have an option. Imagine being immediately notified about a problem in an main. The EchoShore-TX platform will call, text or email you promptly after detecting a leak or other anomaly. Through monitoring and notification, your response time can be significantly reduce to help mitigate the risk of continuing to operate critical transmission mains.

How The EchoShore-TX Platform Works:

The monitoring platform combines proven acoustic leak detection technology with leading-edge wireless connectivity and visual end-user dashboards to create a cost-effective monitoring solution.

Once activated, the acoustic sensors collect data about the pipeline section which is being monitored.  At assigned times, the information is uploaded to a secure server where advanced algorithms interpret the data, search for leak signals and generate reports.  A customized information interface is created for the utility which can be integrated into existing client software programs.  In the event of a leak, notification alerts can be sent to a mobile device.

  1. At the heart of the platform is a node that is typically installed in an access chamber.
  2. Once activated, the EchoShore-TX system collects data about the transmission main. At assigned times, the information is uploaded to a secure server where advanced algorithms interpret the data and generate reports.  Acoustic nodes are installed along the transmission main.  Additional nodes can be rapidly installed and connected to the network as required.
  3. A customized information interface is created which can be integrated into existing client software programs. In case of a serious event, notification alerts can be sent to a mobile device.
