Continuous Microfiltration System-Submerged (CMF-S)
The Memcor Continuous Microfiltration-Submerged (CMF-S) system is designed for large-scale microfiltration. The CMF-S is a pre-engineered modular membrane system designed to be submerged into new or existing open tanks. The CMF-S is capable of 6 log removal of Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and easily meets the drinking water standards of today and tomorrow.
The CMF-S system design is based upon the solid foundation of the Memcor CMF technology. The CMF-S is designed for large-scale microfiltration, where multiple skidded systems are not economical. The CMF-S is a pre-engineered modular membrane system designed to be submerged into new or existing open rectangular steel or concrete tanks. CMF-S is a vacuum system where the raw water is drawn through the membrane fibers with a filtrate suction. Clean water passes through a membrane surface that rejects all particles larger than .2 microns, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The membranes are automatically tested by a patented in-situ integrity test system. These systems have been used for ground and drinking water, as well as wastewater reuse throughout the world.
